Data creates impact. Our impact creates systemic change.
We provide the community and our workgroups with the information needed to create conversation, insight, and action aimed at improving the outcomes of children and families in Kent County.

What Does the Dashboard Measure?
Our Data Dashboard helps you track how Kent County, Michigan and its communities are performing related to eight important success measures:
Nationwide Best Practices
We are working to collect the best practices in creating equitable outcomes from around the country, to ensure that our approach is data-driven and proven.
Early Childhood System Map
Over the last year, the KConnect and First Steps Kent team worked with Calvin University Center for Social Research staff to develop some intentionally handcrafted, “static” views of the early childhood system, including elements that represent the success measures, indicators, and “contributing indicators” that have been selected to drive our community’s alignment strategy.

KConnect Workplan
We have eight success measures spanning the prenatal to career continuum, which the team of original Steering Committee members worked hard to identify in those early days. Since then we have all endeavored to find the critical levers of change (Indicators). We also have 27 Indicators that we believe will change our outcomes in a significant way if we get behind them.

Impact Report
Our Impact Report dives into strategies and presents our Data Report Card that reviews how data is changed over the past year.
